Since 1974, Divine Life Society of South Africa has been actively involved in improving educational, social and spiritual facilities of mainly disadvantaged communities in the deep rural areas of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. The projects of the Society range from schools, creches, clinics, a hospital, old age homes, peace and skills training centres, and a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre.
The Society is able to undertake such projects due to the grace of our Divine Master, Sri Swami Sivananda, and Pujya Swami Sahajananda, as well as through the generous financial contributions of our donors and well wishers. To date over 560 projects have been completed by the Society, mainly in deep rural areas, where disadvantaged communities lack basic amenities like schools, creches, clinics, etc.
Divine Life Society of S.A. is a non profit organisation (NPO: 043 255), and has been approved for purposes of section 18A(1)(a) of the South African Income Tax Act No. 58 of 1962. Donations meeting the qualifying criteria for section 18A have been received, and Section 18A certificates are issued upon request.
